Girl’s Day became #1 on a music show for the first time since debut.
On July 8, Dream T Entertainment revealed that Girl’s Day’s snagged their first ever victory on a music show during the July 7th episode of SBS ‘Inkigayo’.
‘Inkigayo’ had been canceled because of the tragic Asiana Airlines crash, and on July 8th, the weekly chart ranking of the program was revealed. Girl’s Day’s latest single “Female President” received 8887 points, winning over SISTAR’s “Give It To Me” and Lee Seung Chul’s “My Love”.
The agency stated, “We received the notification from ‘Inkigayo’ on July 7th. But, all of the members heard the Asiana Airline crash news on the same day, and we decided to announce the news one day later.”
